Get My Comics new kids comic anthology, SHIFT IT! is on course to be on sale across the UK in eight hundred stores from Friday 20th December – surely a perfect last minute stocking filler.
As we previously reported, this first issue, a Winter Special offering a great range of amazing stories, puzzles and more, is being published in aid of Evelina London Children’s Hospital – and comes ahead of the launch of a regular title in 2025, alongside publisher Get My Comics other titles – books and comics.
On sale online from 11th December, you’ll be able to find the SHIFT IT! Winter Special in independent newsagents, WHSmiths High Street stores, Smiths Travel, Eason in Ireland, comic shops in the UK and more from 20th December.
The SHIFT IT! Winter Special features these fantastic full colour stories: “Beast Hunting Battle Badgers”, “Privet Investigations”, “Learn to Speak Cat”, “Tara Togs”, “Robot City”, and “A Study in Scarlet”.
So, spread a little joy – not just to your family, but to families and children that are looked after by Evelina London Children’s Hospital, now and in the future and grab a copy with your Christmas shopping. Every copy sold goes towards helping the charity.
You can also visit the SHIFT online store and grab a special deluxe version of SHIFT IT!, with a thick gloss card cover, spine and extra rear art pin up, which will start shipping next week, and an extra special hardcover, coming in the new year. Both come with bonus extras, such as stickers, poster and a bookmark, and UK shipping is included in the price on most packages on offer.

The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. He is currently editor of Star Trek Explorer, published by Titan – his third tour of duty on the title originally titled Star Trek Magazine.
Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Babylon 5 Magazine, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”.
He’s the writer of “Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies” for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
