Titan Comics has released a sneak peek at Rivers of London – Deadly Ever After #1 – the unmissable next chapter in the bestselling Rivers of London series.
Written by Rivers of London creator Ben Aaronovitch, Andrew Cartmel and Celeste Bronfman, with art by Jose Maria Beroy, the latest series launches in comic shops on 18th May 2022.
When Chelsea and Olympia accidentally break an enchantment in the woods, deadly fairy tales from a mysterious old book begin coming to life. To set things right, Chelsea and Olympia must unravel a mystery dating back to the 1800s before they become victims of a lethal sorcery.
The new comic series comes hot on the heels of the ninth Rivers of London novel by Ben Aaronovitch, Amongst our Weapons, released earlier this month, a story that opens with a murder in London’s Silver Vaults… but becomes something far more horrifying…
Before becoming a bestselling author, Ben Aaronovitch was a screenwriter for Doctor Who and a bookseller at Waterstones. He now writes full time, and every book in his Rivers of London series has been a Sunday Times Top Ten bestseller. He is published in 14 languages and has sold more than two million copies around the world. Aaronovitch is also a trustee on the board of Cityread London and is a long-time supporter of Nigeria’s premiere arts and cultural festival, The Aké Festival. He still lives in London, the city he likes to refer to as “the capital of the world”.
A lifelong desire to become a professional writer initially earned Andrew Cartmel some television script commissions and resulted in him being hired as the script editor on Doctor Who, in the days when that role at the BBC was virtually the same as a show runner.
He served for three seasons on the series, a highly influential run which has become memorialised as the ‘Cartmel Masterplan’, before moving on to script edit a season of Casualty and then writing for and script editing Dark Knight at Channel Five. Other television commissions include scripts for Torchwood and Midsomer Murders.
He has written novels, toured as a stand-up comedian, written plays for the stage which have been performed in London (End of the Night, Under the Eagle, and his new comedy Screwball) and also written a number of graphic novels.
Andrew writes extensively about jazz for the website London Jazz News, and along with collaborating with Ben Aaronovitch on the highly successful Rivers of London comic franchise, he has his own series of crime novels about the Vinyl Detective, a jazz-loving record collector turned sleuth. (Warning: may contain cats).
Celeste Bronfman is an award winning, Los Angeles-based writer whose recent credits include the Emmy-award winning series Degrassi and Discovery Kids’ Big Top Academy. In addition to her television work, Celeste is a comic book writer who has written for titles such as Star Trek, My Little Pony, and, now, Rivers of London.

Veteran Spanish comic artist José “Josep” Maria Beroy many credits not only include Rivers of London for Titan, but their acclaimed Phantom of the Opera graphic novel, too. Among his many credits, going back to his work on Spanish adult comics in the 1980s, he’s also drawn Star Trek for IDW and Deadman for DC Comics.

The London Silver Vaults – for well over a century, the largest collection of silver for sale in the world. It has more locks than the Bank of England and more cameras than a celebrity punch-up.
Not somewhere you can murder someone and vanish without a trace – only that’s what happened.
The disappearing act, the reports of a blinding flash of light and memory loss amongst the witnesses all make this a case for Detective Constable Peter Grant and the Special Assessment Unit.
Alongside their boss DCI Thomas Nightingale, the SAU find themselves embroiled in a mystery that encompasses London’s tangled history, foreign lands and, most terrifying of all, the North!
And Peter must solve this case soon because back home his partner Beverley is expecting twins any day now. But what he doesn’t know is that he’s about to encounter something – and somebody – that nobody ever expects…
