European hobby specialist Bachmann Europe has launched a number of new licensed releases, including a range of new Thunderbirds models, inspired by the Gerry Anderson series – and a new Natural History Museum range of dinosaurs, too.
Working in partnership with Anderson Entertainment, eleven model Thunderbirds plastic kits have been released under Bachmann Europe’s Adventures in Plastic brand, across a number of scales, all from the original 1960s TV series. Included are all five Thunderbird aircraft – including an unusual but clever transparent Thunderbird 2 – feature, as well as the supersonic jet, Fireflash, The Mole, and Lady Penelope’s iconic car FAB 1.
Longtime model makers tell downthetubes these releases are reissues of Aoshima kits that are also being being reissued in Japan, as featured on Hobby Link Japan.
The 1/144 Thunderbird 1 was also issued by publishers DeAgostini, as a one issue partwork in Japan to accompany the Thunderbird 2 parkwork.

Also part of Bachmann Europe’s Spring 2021 MCC Announcements, Bachmann is releasing a licensed Dinosaur Collection, created in partnership with the Natural History Museum, including T-Rex and Triceratops.
• Prices on the new Thunderbirds range start at £29.99 and each of the eleven kits will be available from Bachmann stockists soon
