Fine artist Andrew Skilleter, best known for his Doctor Who art, recently launched preorders for a rather special new book, Cybertropolis.

A special premium Excellence Edition sold out the first day, but copies of the Classic Limited Edition are still on offer.
Almost 40 years after the publication of the classic 1988 Cybermen book, Andrew returns to the iconic Cybermen of the classic era with Cybertropolis, offering vivid text and insights into one of Doctor Who’s most iconic creations.
Offering striking visual design, the book features a wealth of new artwork, a new comic strip, paintings, and drawings alongside classic favourites and previously unseen pieces.
“Packed with surprises throughout, I’m bringing fresh energy and vision to classic Cybermen nostalgia,” says Andrew, “and even introducing the Cyberfem.”
This book is, he feels, the nearest you’ll get to the Cybermen Annual you never had.
“I could not let the 60th Anniversary of the Cybermen unmarked,” Andrew expands, “and so I brainstormed the possiblities of a concept that would celebrate them in words and image, that would satisfy myself creatively and at the same time be satisifyingly enjoyable to all of you on Earth.
Despite the ever increasing costs of book production, he’s kept the price of the Classic Limited Edition as low as is feasable.
“I’m sure it’ll warm your Autumn days and nights when it arrives! So Convert now!”
