After its success with My Little Pony magazine, the fast-expanding Surrey-based Signature Publishing – whose titles also include Dinosaur Action, It’s Cosmic Magazine and Girls Love – has teamed-up with toymakers Hasbro again, to launch a bi-monthly magazine for their girls brand, Littlest Pet Shop.
Littlest Pet Shop is an animated half-hour comedy series created by Hasbro Studios that follows the big adventures that ensue when Blythe Baxter discovers she can miraculously talk with her animal friends and notices these pets may be small in stature, but their personalities are larger than life! The series airs daily at prime times on the Freeview channel POP TV.
The first issue of the tie-in title is on sale in newsagents now, with a collectable free blind bag figurine, this title is aimed at girls between the ages of 6 and 12. Featuring lead character Blythe and her pet-shop pals, the magazine is filled with fashion, comics, makes, quizzes, posters and Littlest Pet Shop competitions.
The title joins a line up of girls titles from Signature that already includes My Little Pony magazine, Pets2Collect, Fairies and Girls Love.
“We’re really excited to be working with such an iconic and popular girls’ brand as Littlest Pet Shop,” says Signature Publishing’s Editor-in-Chief, Amanda Clifford. “Working with the brand is enormous fun and we know we’ve created a magazine that girls will adore and fall in love with. It’s the perfect partnership to our other Hasbro licensed publication, the mega successful My Little Pony magazine.”
Commenting on the deal, Marie-Cecile Bourdillon, Sr Publishing Manager EMEA at Hasbro, said: “We are thrilled to be collaborating once again with Signature Publishing for Littlest Pet Shop, one of our most popular girls brands, and to bring Blythe and her pet friends’ stories to life through this new official magazine. We trust Signature Publishing will bring the perfect editorial tone to this new release as they have previously done with our successful My Little Pony magazine here in the UK”.
