Soaring Penguin Press has agreed to publish the English edition of A Small Revolution by Boum, the pen name of Samantha Leriche-Gionet.
A story of dictatorship and revolution as seen through the eyes of a child, A Small Revolution was initially published by Front Froid in 2012 in French as La petite révolution.
The book was critically acclaimed and nominated for the Bédélys Award for Best Independent Comic in 2012. In 2015, it was adapted as a webcomic and was nominated for a 2016 Ignatz award for Outstanding Online Comic.
“A Small Revolution,” explains Boum, “is a story of dictatorship and revolution as seen through the eyes of a little girl, and her love for Boris Vian’s music.”
