Stan Lee versus… Judge Dredd? IDW “Mars Attacks” Variant Cover

Here’s an item of Mars Attacks! Judge Dredd-inspired goodness that will have fans monitoring eBay for a copy – a variant cover from US publisher IDW featuring Stan Lee, co-creator of Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four (and more) – as a Judge!

IDW is, of course, the US publisher of Judge Dredd and its Mars Attacks! Judge Dredd series, written by Al Ewing with art by John McCrea is a pitch perfect crossover title, well worth tracking down.

Over the weekend of 1st – 3rd November downtown Los Angeles will be taken over by one of the fastest growing conventions: Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo. For IDW’s first appearance at the show, the publisher is bringing along some very special guests and exclusives.

On the IDW booth (712) attending fans have the chance to pick up the Comikaze exclusive variant of Mars Attacks Judge Dredd #3 by John McCrea featuring Stan (The Man) Lee! Along with this special $10 variant, IDW will have a library’s worth of your favorite books to stock up on.

The Expo will include a presentation by Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall, Special Projects Editor Scott Dunbier, and IDW President Greg Goldstein on Saturday as they set the stage for IDW’s upcoming 15th year anniversary. Even though IDW recentky ended its Doctor Who line they have plenty of titles with British connections in terms of both creators and ties with 2000AD publishers Rebellion in the works.

Throughout the convention the IDW booth will also host a number of great signings:
