Good news for fans of Mike Allwood’s Taunton Comic Expo – the team are back with “Something Scary in the Library” in March, the one day event taking place in Taunton Library.

On offer is a special comic event on Saturday 8th March, promoting literacy and the visual arts with Shaky Kane, David Morris, PJ Reed, Damien Hine, Kek-W, Jo Heeley, Andrew Martin, Andrew Richmond, Alan Holloway, Wayne Hughes, Steve Mahn and Katie Sims. Quite the snapshot of indie comics talent represented!

The result of a successful Kickstarter campaign, Grayham Puttock’s comic creation The Ape That Shook The World is in the spotlight at the event, an amazing looking graphic novel – and expect Dalek Draco to draw attention, too.
The Ape That Ate The World is an original, 158-page graphic novel, rendered in highly detailed black and white – a story of occult horror, haunted love, a history of torment and dark, seductive magic, marbled-through with dark humour.

Taunton Library clearly has its eye on the ball when it comes to promoting and encouraging creative arts, if its busy Facebook page is anything to go by. This sounds like it will be as fun as past events from Mike and team!
