“Terrance Dicks – A Celebration” event returns in October

Postponed from its original date in March 2020 by COVID, The Doctor Who Appreciation Society and The Whoovers, in partnership with the family of writer Terrance Dicks, will be staging a special event, Terrance Dicks – A Celebration, at London’s Riverside Studios in October.

A one day celebration of the inspirational writer and editor Terrance Dicks, this one day event will take place on Sunday 2nd October 2022 at Riverside Studios, Queen Caroline Street, Hammersmith, London.

The event is to raise funds for Save The Children which, for many years, was Terrance’s chosen charity (and as such, a DWAS members discount is not available on this occasion).

Confirmed guests so far, with more to come are actor, writer and Big Finish director and producer Nicholas Briggs; writer Paul Cornell; editor Peter Darvill-Evans; actor Prentis Hancock; Marcus Hearn, editor of Doctor Who Magazine; author and editor Nigel Robinson, Edward Russell, Emma Reeves; writer Robert Shearman; Michael Stevens, Commissioning Editor for BBC Audio’s Doctor Who range; and the very first recipient of the Society’s “Terrance Dicks Award for Writers”, Gary Russell.

Autographs will be available to purchase on the day, there will also be a photo studio run by TTL Productions.
