Back in 1985, a budding illustrator called Mark (PigDog) Roche wrote and illustrated a story for a Manchester based comic called Totally Alien. That story was “Killing Moon”, about a group of assassins lead by Moses Valentine.

Now, 30 years later, his younger brother and small press artist Neil ‘Bhuna’ Roche (Dr WTF, Vanguard Comic, Paragon Press, Zarjaz), the enigmatic UK writer Chris Denton (Eagle Award-nominated Walking Wounded, Massacre for Boys, Drokk, Judge Dredd Megazine) and Darren Stephens (2000AD, Sonic the Comic, Red Dwarf, Zarjaz) have taken up the challenge to resurrect Moses Valentine and Killing Moon, in a new series featuring some of the UK’s most talented small press artists offering their take on the main characters in the story.
In Killing Moon Issue One, an elite band of assasins is hired by the mayor of a terrorized town to take out a necromancer. But how do you kill a man with absolute power over life and death?
Sit back, make a brew and enjoy a good old sword and sorcery romp in this new comic, which will be on sale at Thought Bubble on the Pigdog Press stand (36) in the New Dock Hall, Leeds.
