Titan Comics Tenth and Thirteenth Doctor Crossover – Solicitation Details

Details and covers of Titan Comics crossover Doctor Who team-up comic, due for release on 8th January 2020, are now available, although some details teased online appear to have confused some fans into thinking the story is a new TV episode.

The new “Year Two” series sees the Tenth Doctor and the Thirteenth Doctor will join forces to save the universe from the Weeping Angels, with a little help from companion Dr. Martha Jones.

The crossover is the main storyline kicking off Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor Year Two, starting in January 2020, announced recently at New York Comic Con.

In the first issue, Eisner-nominated writer Jody Houser and Witchblade artist Roberta Ingranata launch into an epic adventure spinning off the new season starting in the new year, starring Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor. With her pals, Ryan, Yaz and Graham, the Doctor encounters a familiar foe, and it’ll take a familiar face to stop them…

Bizarrely, it seems some Doctor Who fans have been discussing the storyline as it it were an upcoming TV episode, perhaps confused by the brilliant variant Photo Cover. We’re happy to publish the covers here to put them on the right track.

Also being solicited, out on 4th February 2020, is the collection of this year’s Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor Holiday Special, again written by Jody Houser with art by Roberta Ingranata and Enrica Eren Angiolini.

The first issue of two is on sale next week, 13th November, in comic shops.

The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. He is currently editor of Star Trek Explorer, published by Titan – his third tour of duty on the title originally titled Star Trek Magazine.

Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Babylon 5 Magazine, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”.

He’s the writer of “Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies” for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
