Vice Press has announced the upcoming release of its Judge Dredd Letterpress Set by Jock this week – an officially licensed, Limited Edition Portfolio Set featuring some of the artist’s stunning work on 2000AD‘s most popular character.
This new release – following hot on the heels of “Block War” by Matt Ferguson – is the latest in the company’s line of limited edition 2000AD art prints, under license from Rebellion, and features five classic Judge Dredd images by Jock, each beautifully produced in letterpress with a bespoke letterpress portfolio sleeve.
Vice Press will also be giving away an additional mystery print by Jock in 50 random orders.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, now living and working in Devon, Jock is the three times New York Times best-selling British artist best known for his comics work with writer Andy Diggle on DC/Vertigo’s The Losers, the award-winning Batman: The Black Mirror, and Wytches with writer Scott Snyder. Jock has also produced key art, concept design, and promotional imagery for films including Iron Man 3, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Dredd, Star Wars: Episode VIII, and the Oscar-winning Ex Machina.

The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. He is currently editor of Star Trek Explorer, published by Titan – his third tour of duty on the title originally titled Star Trek Magazine.
Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Babylon 5 Magazine, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”.
He’s the writer of “Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies” for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
