Blackpool Comic Con’s comics guests – Ande Parks, Tim Quinn, Lee Townsend, John Royle, Lee Bradley, Tim Quinn, Dave Windett and Nick Brokenshire.
A quick reminder that Blackpool Comic Con takes place this Saturday 12th September 2015, at the northern seaside town’s world famous Winter Gardens. The event is heavy on media guests, including Doctor Who‘s Jenna Coleman (who was born in Blackpool), Game of Thrones‘ Richard Madden, Star Wars Julian Glover and Thunderbirds/Gerry Anderson voice artists such as Shane Rimmer and David Graham (who has reprised his role as Parker for the new Thunderbirds Are Go).
The world of comics is represented largely by talent based in the North West: Marvel Comics, newspaper strip and Sparky writer Tim Quinn (now carving a career as a TV presenter and promoter of the excellent Mona Lisa Twins, who are supporting Steve Harley on his current tour); and ace artists Lee Townsend, John Royle, Lee Bradley, Dave Windett and Nick Brokenshire.
From the US, the event has brought in Green Arrow artist Ande Parks, who has also written Zorro and Lone Ranger for Dynamite Entertainment.
