The latest Lakes International Comic Art Festival Podcast is again bursting with interviews from the annual Lakes International Comic Art Festival in Kendal held last month, conducted by co-hosts Ian Loxam and Nikki Bates.

A New Jerusalem by Benjamin DicksonEpisode 40 includes  interviews with Canadian artist Guy Delisle, Benjamin Dickson, whose new graphic novel A New Jerusalem – a stunning tale of post World War Two trauma – was published by Myriad Editions / New Internationalist earlier this year.

(It’s well worth tracking down, addressing issues that range from what we now know as PTSD to teenage angst as a broken father returns from the battlefront).

Also interviewed are artist and writer, Una, author of Becoming Unbecoming and On Sanity: One Day In Two Lives and John Wagner, co-creator of “Judge Dredd” and writer of many 2000AD tales and more.

Also featured is part of the “Crime Lords” panel from the weekend, hosted by Alex Fitch with guests Ian Rankin and John Wagner.
