Biomekazoik Press boasts several new comic titles including new “Best Of 100% Biodegradable Comic Anthology”

If there’s the one good thing about all this self isolation business in 2020, it’s keeping comic creators rather productive, among them the irrepressible David Hailwood at Biomekazoik Press. In the last month alone he’s released three new comics, and illustrated a children’s novel, with many of his works all easily available on AmazonUK.

After a number of requests to make the fantastic digital anthology 100% Biodegradable available on Amazon in colour, a title I’m proud to JP have been involved in, David has just released the first Best Of 100% Biodegradable Comic Anthology. The comic features 10 self contained strips from the likes of Dan Cornwell (2000AD, Rok Of The Reds), Liam Sharp (Wonder Woman, Green Lantern) and myself (Marvel UK, Doctor Who Magazine) and many more.

If you’re into Haunted Rollercoasters, Post Apocalyptic Warrior Women and Rebellious Scotsmen, then there’s definitely a little something for you in this 56 page full colour print anthology.

(All digital issues of 100% Biodegradable (containing strips from the likes of Dan Cornwell, Lukasz Kowalczuk, Alan Burrows, Mark Bertolini and many more) are currently reduced to as little as 39p/$0.49 on ComiXology as part of their Small Press Mega Sale (there’s literally thousands of absolute bargains!). Or, if you’d prefer to buy the b/w print collections, they’re still available on AmazonUK for the ridiculously cheap price of £4.99/$5.99).

Also available from Biomekazoik Press is the Blank Comic Book For Creative Kids set, eight books available from Amazon (plus the Christmas special), all of which contain unique characters for children to draw.

David has also collected all the self contained comic strips from hi Hotchpotch comic for the benefit of young readers (and parents with tight wallets). This release comprises Issues 1-4, offered in one big affordable 100+ page black and white collection – 25 strips involving secret agent ducks, intergalactic child journalists, tone-deaf orcs, courageous leprechaun-smiting chickens, and more from a host of talented comic creators across the globe!

Also available is Sneaky Goblins, the work the hugely talented Australian cartoonist Rene Pfitzner.

This collects together his popular webcomic series into one self contained 150 page black and white comic (or full colour, if you get the Kindle version), in which a dropout from assassin school is sent on an impossible quest, and very soon finds himself up to his neck in trouble in the form of ukulele strumming orcs, distrustful elves, enraged ogres and worse.

Join Dank Grapple on an epic adventure that’s suitable for both children and adults!

As for the aforementioned illustration work David has been doing, then check out Cavern’s Fall, the third part in Linda Jones highly popular “Oozing Magic” children’s fantasy book series, also out now on Amazon.

“I had a tremendous amount of fun illustrating it, as Linda always gives me plenty of weird and freaky monsters to create,” says David. “The story’s a lot of fun, too – steeped in magic and mystery, and perfect for children age 7-10.”
