Comics Revue celebrates Dick Tracy’s 90th anniversary

The current issue of Comics Revue, still on sale features a great tribute cover to Dick Tracy by Joe Staton, celebrating the character’s 90th anniversary.

Comics Revue - October 2021 - cover by Joe Staton

America’s longest-running magazine of classic comics now has twice as many pages of strips as the earlier version, on better paper, includes 19 pages of full-color comic strips, and features Flash Gordon by Harry Harrison, Rick O’Shay by Stan Lynde, Gasoline Alley by Dick Moores, Alley Oop by V. T. Hamlin, Tarzan by Gil Kane, Steve Canyon by Milton Caniff, Casey Ruggles by Warren Tufts, Mandrake the Magician by Lee Falk, Krazy Kat by George Herriman, and many more.

The line-up doesn’t include Dick Tracy, but publisher and editor Rick Norwood doesn’t rule out the possibility of his inclusion in future.

New adventures of Dick Tracy continue to be published, currently created by Mike Curtis and Shelley Pleger, and can be read online at GoComics.
