Mark Gorton offers an entertaining profile of Reverend Marcus Morris and Frank Hampson, comic artist and writer Dan Dare, in this 2018 article, “Future Perfect: Dan Dare, Pilot of the Future”, exploring the genius of two men who turned the seaside town of Southport into the centre of the universe.
“This is the story of how and why,” says Mark, who includes a photograph of the two men at Bayford Lodge, where the original “Dan Dare”was created in later years, taken after the Hulton’s Boys and Girls Exhibition in 1958.
