Sunderland-based PhD scholarships in media and cultural studies offered

The Centre for Research in Media and Cultural Studies at the University of Sunderland is offering two full-time Home/EU PhD scholarships with a start date of 1st October 2014.

Together with full payment of fees, each scholarship will include a bursary of £13,863 per year. In return successful candidates will be expected to do six hours teaching per week.

They will consider applicants proposing research in any area of media, film, and cultural studies.

65% of the Centre’s research was classed as ‘world leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’ in the RAE2008.

1. Curriculum Vitae
2. An outline of your proposed research topic (about 500 words)
3. A brief explanation of why you would like to study at the Centre for Research in Media and Cultural Studies.
