Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the first appearance of an early “New Who” favourite, the Slitheen, (for some, anyway!), Titan Comics has revealed the first look at the lettered pages of Doctor Who: The Prison Paradox #1 – a brand-new adventure like no other as the Doctor, Belinda, and an unlikely team of allies infiltrate a prison holding monsters and villains from across the cosmos.

Written by Dan Watters with art by new series artist Sami Kivelä, with covers from Jay Anacleto, Nipuni, Flops and more, Doctor Who: The Prison Paradox #1 is on sale in Local Comic Shops from 5th November 2025.

Created by Russell T. Davies, the Slitheen – extraterrestrial criminals who can disguise themselves as humans by hiding in skinsuits, the technology they use resulting in them farting have a mixed reputation: they were popular with many younger viewers, but less so with some adult fans. Part of their appeal lies in their “baby-faced assassin” design, which contrasts their large, predator bodies, making them creepy yet also approachable for children.

First seen in first appeared in the 2005 series episodes “Aliens of London” and “World War Three”, where they attempt to destroy Earth to sell its remains for profit, their later inclusion in The Sarah Jane Adventures was the result of their popularity with children.
