Daleks invade Cartoonists Club of Great Britain

  • So, you’d like to join the Cartoonists Club of Great Britain eh? Excellent! Being a member of our illustrious organisation gives you the opportunity to meet up with loads of cartoonists from all over the country.

The latest edition of The Jester, the journal of the Cartoonists Club of Great Britain, features a daft Dalek cartoon on its cover by John Landers.

Each month, members of the Club are set a challenge to come up with inspired by a particular theme – and John Landers , whose work has appeared in the Daily Mirror, Private Eye, New Statesman and more decided that Daleks was the best way to make something funny out of “SINK”!

The issue also includes an interview with cartoonist Ian Ellery, and a mix of cartoons and reviews, including a look at Physics for Cats by Tom Gauld, and tips from Rich Skipworth on using the digital draing app, Procreate.

Alongside magazine cartoons, John is regularly in demand producing cartoons in several specialists markets. Past projects include producing live caricatures for the web-based cartoon show Chattoon!
