Seagull fan? Then you’re going to want to take a look at these original artworks, all created by some top notch comic artists, which will eventually sold in to support two important community groups.
Jen Wyllie set the challenge to create some unique original seagull drawings during Barrow Does Comics 2026 – and Charlie Adlard, Sarah Jane Docker, Michael Lark, Sean Phillips, Children’s Comic Laureate Raye (aka Mollie Ray) and Lyndon White all rose to the challenge.
They’ll soon be flying into a local exhibitions at The Dock Museum and The Bridge on Portland Walk, Barrow, followed by a silent art auction, raising money for the volunteer run North West Blood Bikes (Lancs & Lakes) Supporters and ArtWorks. (All the comic art drawings will be at The Bridge).

Plenty more amazing seagull art has been created for this special fundraiser, with Barrow & Furness MP Michelle Scrogham, who is a strong advocate for comics as an art form, joining in too.
ArtWorks is a small team of volunteers who work to improve mental health and wellbeing via meaningful art activities. Using art based projects to bring people together and promoting the artists who join our projects and deliver workshops.
A registered charity, North West Blood Bikes (Lancs & Lakes) Supporters is a voluntary organisation transporting urgent and emergency Blood, Samples, Donor Breast milk and other medical items, that can be safely transported on a motorcycle, or in some areas by car, between NHS hospitals – at night, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
