After huge sales results for the first two auctions, The Peter Hansen Collection of Comic Art, Vintage Toys and other collectables – Part 3 takes place next weekend, Saturday 20th June. Run by Excalibur Auctions, both toy and comic collectors will likely be bidding furiously on items on offer, spanning Dan Dare and Gerry Anderson items and more.
Some 370 items are on offer and it’s impossible to list them all here – and even the small selection featured below doesn’t do what’s on offer justice. If you’re a toy gun afficianado, for example, there’s no shortage of items to savour, but EAGLE, Dinky and Corgi toy, Marvel and Look-In comic fans certainly won’t be, either! All we can suggest is you check out the full catalogue here. Be aware bidding on some items is likely to be fierce!

An Excalibur “lucky dip” job lot of comic art (in other words, they’ve no idea what’s included, it seems, because we can spot “Danger Mouse” art from Look-In, “The Steel Claw”, what looks like a Sean Connery caricature, a nice looking Superman illustration). The lot contains well in excess of 100 pieces of comic art from various comics, comic strips from newspapers, characters and eras etc. Excalibur say of this item, “Crate not included, please bring box!” Indeed, it could be quite the haul!
