British independent comic publisher PSYComics has launched its Kickstarter for their collection of the stunning Odysseus – In Defiance of the Gods, featuring the last work of singular creative Vũ Dan – tragically taken, far too young, earlier this year.

Recommended for Mature Readers, this isn’t just a collected edition. It’s what PSYComics are pitching as “a definitive statement”. The collection brings together all four books of the startling, hugely imaginative Odysseus – In Defiance of the Gods, written by Laurence Alison, published last year.
“There are stories we inherit… and stories that challenge what we think we know,” says PSYComics’ publisher Neil Roche. “The forthcoming trade paperback of Odysseus: In Defiance of the Gods brings together all four volumes of this bold, uncompromising reimagining of Homer’s epic into a single, powerful edition.

Offering a Complete Vision, for the first time, readers will be able to experience the full arc of Odysseus’ journey in one

Striking New Covers – and Collector Appeal
This release is as much a celebration of artistry as it is storytelling, offering a brand-new colour cover by the late Vũ Dan, coloured by Matt Soffe, whose stark, emotionally charged interior art defines the series. There’s a special variant cover by Clint Langley available, too, bringing his signature intensity and painterly power to the world of Odysseus.
“These covers don’t just package the book,” Neil enthuses, “they reinterpret the myth visually, offering collectors and fans something truly special.”
Both paperback edition, accessible, immersive, and perfect for first-time readers, and a hardback edition are planned, the latter offering a premium, lasting tribute to a modern myth.
