The Twilight Zone Series 2 Episode 15 “The Invaders”, featuring C-57D saucer first seen in the classic feature film Forbidden Planet, will be screened on Legend Extra in the UK, on 3rd October 2026. It features Agnes Moorhead of Bewitched fame.
Talking of Forbidden Planet, a newly restored Limited Edition Forbidden Planet 4K UHD and Blu-ray was released by Arrow Video last month, also available to stream digitally in the UK via Amazon Video and Apple TV.

Auction News: The catalogue for the next Vectis Sports, Vinyl, Collectables & Vintage Toys Auction, taking place Friday 16th October 2026 at vectis.co.uk is online. It features a large selection of football memorabilia, including annuals, trading cards, cigarette cards, football stickers, albums, matchday programmes, magazines and signed memorabilia, including shirts. One for Roy of the Rovers fans? Plus, Starting Lineup series blister pack figures, Subbuteo, and racing and mountain bikes. Further items in this auction include groups of mixed genre vinyl LPs, boxsets, 7” singles and CDs, including a Pink Floyd Dark Side of The Moon first pressing.

The auction also includes a large selection of Guinness and brewery advertising merchandise including lamps, glasses, mirrors, clothing, ashtrays, collectables, posters and pub items, such as a set of The Gentle Art of Making Guinness John Ireland posters; and rounds off with a number of artworks by Mike Akhurst, an Artist and Guitarist specialising in nostalgic aviation.
Artist in the Spotlight: Stars and Sabers Publishing, the brainchild of speculative fiction authors and publishers Jendia Gammon and Gareth L. Powell, has published a profile of illustrator Loreto Salinas, who provided the striking cover for the recently-published The Astronaut Among the Flowers And Other Stories (AmazonUK Affiliate Link) the debut collection by Nebula-nominated author P.A. Cornell.
And finally, talking of artwork, check this out: Roger Dean’s Myths and Legends painting for Rick Wakeman’s re-recording of The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. It’s one of the prints exhibiting at Tsuruoka: The Pathway by Water, at Kamo Aquarium in Tsuruoka, Yamagata, Japan, from 3rd to 12th October 2026.
“The painting contains subtle references to the Arthurian legend,” Roger notes, the work inspired by the remnants of temperate rainforest found along the western coasts of Britain, from Cornwall to Scotland, “a suggestion of Camelot in the upper right, a knight on horseback hidden among the trees, and a knight and lady crossing the bridge. At the heart of the painting, however, is the waterfall and the extraordinary landscape surrounding it.”
The print is also available online at RogerDean.com, both as an open edition print and as a hand-finished print.
