Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange

First Doctor Strange Trailer debuts, out in October in UK

The first trailer for Marvel’s Doctor Strange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, was released via the US TV show Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC last night, as part of its Marvel Week event.

Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One was also much in evidence and the trailer’s debut came hot on the heels of a poster of Strange in his Sanctum Sanctorum was released earlier the day.

The movie recently wrapped filming and will debut on 28th October in UK cinemas and 4th November in the US.

Directed by Scott Derickson, it’s very much an origin story, following Stephen Strange after his career is destroyed. A brilliant but arrogant and conceited surgeon gets a new lease on life when a sorcerer takes him under his wing and trains him to defend the world against evil.

Excuse me, I’m just going to watch that again, because it gave me goosebumps…
