Hook Jaw Volume 1 - Collection Cover

On sale from today in all good comic shops is Titan Comics collection of their recent Hook Jaw series, written by Si Spurrier with art by Conor Boyle, coloured by Giulia Brusco and lettered by Rob Steen – and a collection of the original strips from Action is on its way.

Hook Jaw – the nigh-on legendary great white shark that has haunted oceans and nightmares alike for decades…

As the crew of the scientific vessel the Sola enter Somalian waters to study the group of great white sharks known as the ‘Virgin Brides,’ they soon fall foul of Somalian pirates, the US military and the infamous Hook Jaw! But who is the real hero of the story?

Hook Jaw revives the notorious Action comic strip created by Pat Mills and Ramon Sola that proved so controversial, along with the rest of the comic, that it was banned in the 1970s. You can find out more in our Sevenpenny Nightmare micro site.

Collecting Hook Jaw issues #1 to #5, the collection is on sale in book stores from 15th August and will be followed in September with the release of the Hook Jaw: Archive, collecting the original strips from Action. Plenty to sink your teeth into…
