Bryan Talbot Grandville art exhibition and signing at Orbital Comics in November

Grandville: Force Majeure - Orbital Comics Signing Poster

Award-winning comics author and artist Bryan Talbot will be signing copies of Grandville: Force Majeure at the launch of an exhibition of art at Orbital Comics in London on Wednesday 15th November (5.30 to 7.30pm)

Bryan Talbot’s graphic novel series Grandville not only received overwhelming critical acclaim, but won the Prix SNCF award for best graphic novel, and was twice nominated for the prestigious Hugo award, propelling it to the ranks of “must-read” titles.

Grandville: Force Majeure represents the fifth and final instalment of this incredible series, and features our heroic Detective Inspector LeBrock on the run, wanted for murder, and out to save the country against insurmountable odds.

Previews of this final chapter in LeBrock’s incredible story suggest no let up in the breath taking art we’ve already seen in the first four books in the series.

The Grandville, The Last Chapter event at the Lakes International Comics Festival in Kendal on 14th October will be the official launch where you can buy Grandville: Force Majeure for the first time – but the book is not on general release until this event at Orbital.

“I have greatly enjoyed the Grandville books,” says author Philip Pullman of the series. “I think they’re superbly designed, beautifully conceived, admirably written – everything about them is terrific. They really show what the form can do. A graphic novel built on the solid foundation of a strong story.”
