The TV drama Vikings will be back at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con with a cast panel, new Season 5B trailer, and an exclusive comic book, Vikings: Causor, written by Andi Ewington (Red Dog, Freeway Fighter) with art by Daniel Indro (Vikings, Doctor Who) coloured by Slamet Mujiono (Red Sonja, Sherlock Holmes) and lettered by Jim Campbell (Lost Fleet).

I was privileged to work on this as editor with Andi, Indro, Slamet and Jim, and if you’re at SDCC you should definitely grab a copy – the story, set during Season Five, is great and the art is just knockout. A real Vikings fan collectors item.

HISTORY will also debut their new series, Project Blue Book and give away a special tie-in comic written by George Mann (Doctor Who), with art by Mann House.

As well as the free comic, HISTORY’s Vikings-related promotions at SDCC include a panel with cast and creators in Ballroom 20, plus an exclusive Season 5B five trailer and a Seer inspired booth on the convention floor.

The network is also bringing its upcoming UFO drama series Project Blue Book to SDCC debut with a cast panel and a unique, outside activation featuring real UFO cases and an attempt to make contact with life beyond earth.

Project Blue Book is inspired by the true, Top Secret investigations into Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) conducted by the United States Air Force from 1952-1969. HISTORY will also offer fans the opportunity to take home an exclusive Project Blue Book inspired comic book, Project Blue Book – Case #1972.
