The latest issue of Wargames, Soldiers and Strategy (Issue 80) features a Punic Wars diorama on the front cover created by Beano and HOME comic artist Steve Beckett – his model making work just another of his many talents.
Featuring 15mm – 1/100th scale figures produced by Forged In Battle, the issue includes an article Steve’s written about putting the model together – and comic strip by him, too, which has been running for nine issues so far.
Wargames, Soldiers and Strategy is a bi-monthly, historical wargaming magazine focused on having fun, regardless of experience, background, or interests. Each issue contains a mix of general articles and those focused around a particular theme.
According to the ancient historian Polybius, the clash between Carthage and Rome was one of the greatest in the ancient world. Whilst most histories tend to focus on the second Punic War, made famous by Hannibal and his elephants crossing the Alps, the first Punic War has much to offer the prospective gamer, both on land and at sea.
