Beano staff past and present will be on hand at Glasgow’s Vintage Festival (27th-28th July) to talk about the comic in a special workshop.
Morris Heggie, who’s written about The Beano and Editor in Chief Mike Stirling will be at the event organised by designer Wayne Hemingway, who recently designed a style guide for Beano licensors and has been heavily involved in Beano-related events on London’s South Bank (see news story).
Festival goers can also go glam with decade specific hair and beauty makeovers from the Vintage Salon or simply take in all the wonderful vintage shopping on offer. There will be opportunities to get creative in one of the many art, design and ‘Make Do & Mend’ workshops, experience exclusive catwalk shows, sample brilliantly conceived food and cocktails or join one of the daily dance classes lead by expert dance instructors. Oh – and don’t forget…The dress up is just as important as the ‘get down’ so pick a decade and dress glamorous!
