Bryan Talbot original art up for sale, new Luther Arkwright trade on its way, and some Italian news, too!

Comic artist and writer Bryan Talbot is offering a huge batch of original artwork for sale on his official site, including pages The Adventures of Luther Arkwright – Heart of Empire and all of his pages from Grandville – as well as a Near Myths cover, one of his earliest published works.

In fact, he’s offering so much new art it might be a while before site runner James Robertson has uploaded it to the site, so if there is a particular page you’re interested in, contact him via and ask about availability.

Everything offered is original, genuine artwork created by Bryan himself and is what is used in the comics themselves. All pieces come with a free dedication to you and signature from Bryan.

Talking of Bryan’s work, for the first time, The Adventures of Luther Arkwright and Heart of Empire are being made available as a trade paperback later this year. Out in June, the book will cost £35.99, substantially cheaper than the deluxe hardback Arkwright Integral, at around £50 – £90, if you can find a copy!

Bryan and Mary Talbot are also celebrating the Italian publication of the Acosta Award-winning graphic novel Dotter of her Father’s Eyes by Nicola Pesce Editore, and the book is the focus of a special study for students in Sicily this year, organised by Mario Benenati, for Associazone Culturale Fumettomaniadetails here in Italian.

Mario also interviewed Bryan for the long-running Italian magazine Fumo di China, dedicated to comics in all their forms, which is available to buy here.
