Forbidden Planet Camden will be hosting Garth Ennis, Keith Burns and Rob Williams to sign copies of Battle Action Volumes 1 and 2 this Saturday, 23rd August 2025 from 2.00 – 3.00pm.
Garth Ennis began his career on Crisis, 2000AD and the Judge Dredd Megazine, for which he wrote “Judge Dredd”, “Strontium Dogs”, “True Faith” and others. Outside of the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic, he is known for Preacher, The Boys, Hitman, The Punisher and a great many war comics – including War Stories, Battlefields, Out Of The Blue, The Stringbags and Sara.
Keith Burns, a member of the Guild of Aviation Artists, well known for his stunning Commando comic covers, has previously worked on “Rat Pack” for Battle, and the “Johnny Red” mini-series.
Rob Williams is the writer of Suicide Squad and Martian Manhunter for DC Comics, Unfollow for Vertigo and Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor for Titan Comics. His work for 2000AD includes “Judge Dredd: Titan”, “The Grievous Journey Of Ichabod Azrael (And The Dead Left In His Wake)” and “The Ten-Seconders”.

John is the founder of downthetubes, launched in 1998. He is a comics and magazine editor, writer, and Press Officer for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. He also runs Crucible Comic Press.
Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine and Overkill for Marvel UK, Babylon 5 Magazine, Star Trek Magazine, and its successor, Star Trek Explorer, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics; and has edited several comic collections and graphic novels, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”, and Hancock: The Lad Himself, by Stephen Walsh and Keith Page.
He’s the writer of comics such as Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs”, with Dave Hailwood.
