Captain Britain fans should be thrilled by this Herb Trimpe homage by comic creators Robin Barnard and Martin Hand, which features on the back page of the next issue of Robin’s latest free comic entitled Your Lord, Master and Emperor of the World… Dr. Doom.
Created by Chris Claremont and Herb Trimpe, Captain Britain first appeared in Marvel UK’s Captain Britain Weekly Issue One in October 1976.
The next Your Lord, Master and Emperor of the World… Dr. Doom is a tribute to Trimpe, who died in April, and the latest comic from Robin, who has a blog here devoted to a unique art experiment to recreate original works of art using his own hand – whilst at the same time examining the art and its meanings.
Robin has been working on this project for some years now, and it’s a veritable treasure trove of superhero tributes and more.
The print edition of the free comic will be available for free from Orbital Comics in London from 1st November 2015 – or read earlier issues of the comic here online right now.
