With the San Diego Comic Con 2015 beginning this week, Jeremy Bement brings you some Doctor Who-related listening for your journey to California.
On his ace Doctor Who comics-inpsired podcast Panel to Panel this week, Jeremy talks to writers Cavan Scott and George Mann as well as artist Rachael Stott about their work on the various Titan Comics projects, including the official SDCC Twelfth Doctor comic.
Best-selling author Cavan Scott has written for such popular series as Doctor Who, Penguins of Madagascar, Skylanders, Adventure Time, Pathfinder, Angry Birds, Judge Dredd, Blake’s 7 and Warhammer 40,000.
He is the writer of Titan Comics’ Doctor Who: The Ninth Doctor miniseries and is currently writing his first Sherlock Holmes novel – The Patchwork Devil – to be published by Titan Books in 2016. George Mann is a best-selling author, comic writer and editor, best known for his Newbury & Hobbes series of Victorian fantasy novels, and his Doctor Whonovels, comics and audiobooks. The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. He is currently editor of Star Trek Explorer, published by Titan – his third tour of duty on the title originally titled Star Trek Magazine.
Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Babylon 5 Magazine, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”.
