Coming Up: US Comic Convention Round Up – are you ready for New York Comic Con?

Here’s a quick guide to some US comics events, via Scoop, the free weekly e-newsletter published by Gemstone. (Sign up here). Baltimore Comic-Con and New York Comic Con dominate October’s schedule, but there are plenty of great Halloween/horror-inspired events towards the end of the month, too.

28th – 30th September: Baltimore Comic-Con

The Baltimore Comic-Con is returning to the Inner Harbor for its 19th year, taking place at the Baltimore Convention Center on One West Pratt Street in Baltimore, Maryland.

4th – 7th October: New York Comic Con

Empire State, are you ready for one of the largest pop culture events on the East Coast? The Wizard World team is heading for California’s state capital to host Wizard World Sacramento, a three-day show taking place at the Cal Expo on 1600 Exposition Boulevard in Sacramento, California.

6th -7th October: OAFCon

The Oklahoma Alliance of Fans (OAF) is presenting their annual comic book show-sale-exhibit on October 6-7, 2018 at the Embassy Suites Hotel on 2501 Conference Drive in Norman, Oklahoma.

Since 1970, OAFCon has hosted comic book and collectible shows with a greater focus on comics for sale, comic artists, and comics history. During this year’s show, OAFcon will present a display of regional and local talent with publishers, artists and writers showcasing their latest work. Back issue dealers from across the country will also provide a large selection of comic books, pulps, paperbacks, posters, original artwork, toys, gum cards, and more.

The Philly Non-Sports Card Show is returning to the Merchants Square Mall, located at 1901 S. 12th Street, Allentown, PA. The show has been running continuously since the 1980s, featuring everything from Ant-Man and Arrow to The X-Files and X-Men.
