Commando and British Comics Swap-Meet - September 2019The next Commando and British Comics Swap-Meet is just six weeks away, taking place in Watford, Hertfordshire, on Saturday 28th September 2019. Former Tharg Steve MacManus is currently at work on a companion title to his thoroughly enjoyable book, The Mighty One: My Life In the Nerve Centre, a novel is called The SheerGlam Conspiracy.

Set in London 1973, for forty years, rival publishers Goodenough Publications and Tartan Editions have been the beating heart of British comics. But pulses are raised and blood begins to boil when a sudden death by defenestration sparks a bitter circulation war, with each proprietor plotting the downfall of the other, igniting a sequence of events that lead inexorably to a murderous and blazing climax!

“They are collectors too,” says co-organiser Bruce Scott. “So if you fancy meeting all of the collectors and our guests, grab a brew and a butty, sit and ‘chew the fat’ as well as few comics to ponder over, then get yourselves down to Watford, you won’t be disappointed.”
