Crowdfunding Spotlight: The Mammy by Eddie Campbell and Phil Elliot

The Mammy by Eddie Campbell and Phil ElliotA new comic seeking funding on Kickstarter from Eddie Campbell and Phil Elliot has already hit its target, but you still have time to back The Mammy, a collection of comics from the music paper, Sounds.

Behind their nom de plume of Charlie Trumper, Eddie and Phil created over 100 comic strips between 1984 and 1985 for the UK weekly music paper, Sounds.

During their stint at the title, they came up with three unique series  – Rodney – the Premonition and The Wonders of Science, which have already been published through Kickstarter, and are now seeking backing for their last, The Mammy, with Eddie writing and both Eddie and Phil drawing.

This is a story about a loving parent, attempting to provide a caring home for her children in the face of a blunt bureaucratic state and an authority who do not understand the trials and tribulations of raising four vulnerable youngsters.

The Mammy loves her boys and she will do anything to protect them!

Eddie and Phil are seeking, and have already gained funding for a A4 landscape comic. Everyone who pledges for the physical comic will also receive a digital PDF version.

The collection will include a new introduction by Eddie and plenty of extra items, dependent on your level of support, like the boys previous two comics.

The Mammy comic will only be available through this Kickstarter campaign  or direct from Eddie and Phil. It will not be on sale elsewhere , so check out the Kickstarter here
