Dan Dare is back – this time, for a special,”Table Read” of one of B7 Media’s acclaimed Audio Adventures, as part of the online only Sci-Fi-London event next month (8th – 13th December 2020).
Dan Dare returned to the airwaves in 2017 over six all-new audio adventures featuring acclaimed performances from Ed Stoppard (Dan Dare), Geoff McGivern (Digby), Heida Reed (Professor Peabody), Michael Cochrane (Sir Hurbert) and Raad Rawi (The Mekon) along with many notable guest stars including Hugh Fraser, Noof McEwan, Bijan Daneshmand and Jonathan Rhodes.
Inspired by the original Eagle comic strip (1950-1967), B7 Media’s audio reboot of the space hero was hailed by fans and critics alike – and the first season was also nominated for several radio awards. Most notably Volume 2 won the prestigious NYC International Radio Program Gold Award for ‘Best Digital Drama’ (2018).
To mark Dan Dare’s 70th anniversary in style, B7 Media has teamed up with Sci-Fi-London for a very special “live” table read of Colonel Dare’s first-ever adventure, Voyage to Venus, with Raad Rawi reprising his role as The Mekon.
