Check out what Dundee-based Dan had to say about which characters are the most fun to draw, why everyone loves Superman, and the intriguing reasons to be excited for this new reboot.

In this brand new story directed by James Gunn, David Corenswet (Twisters, Lady in the Lake) takes on the role of Superman as he embarks on a journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent. Expect plenty of thrills and heart – along with the appearance of Superman’s adorable canine companion Krypto.

Superman fans will know Dan McDaid for his art on Kneel Before Zod, written by Joe Casey, released in collection earlier this year.

Previously, following a well regarded run on Doctor Who Magazine, Dan co-created cosmic comedy drama Jersey Gods for Image Comics and cult hit Time Share for Oni Press.

In addition to Since then he has also worked on such properties as Judge Dredd and Firefly, co-developed and drew TKO’s The Fearsome Doctor Fang, and collaborated several times with Irvine Welsh. His first graphic novel, Dega, was published in 2023.
