The next Commando and British Weekly Comics Swap-Meet – a regular “old school” gathering of British comic fans – will be held in Glasgow on Saturday 16th March 2024, and organisers have a great guest line-up in place for the event.
Thousands of Commando comics and other Picture Libraries will be on sale, along with British weeklies such as 2000AD, Battle, Beano, Bunty, Misty, Warlord, Whizzer and Chips, Victor and many more.
Comic artists Keith Burns (Commando covers, Battle) and Colin MacNeil (2000AD) have confirmed their attendance at the event, and Commando writer Colin Maxwell will be there, too – with more guests to be announced, so keep an eye on the Commando and British Weekly Comics – Collectors, Buy, Sell and Swaps Page for updates.

The Commando and British Weekly Comics Swap-Meet are very definitely not a “Comic-Con” – don’t expect lycra-clad Superheroes, just comics, annuals and comic-readers… and there will be brews ‘n’ butties and a charity raffle, too!
The venue, Cameron Hall on Mossgiel Road, home to the 29th Glasgow Scout Group, is a 15 minute train ride from Glasgow Central to Pollokshaws East, with a five minute walk to the venue, five mins drive from Junction 2 of M77 motorway with ample on street parking.
