Both 1960s Doctor Who films are being reissued on 4k Blu-ray by StudioCanal soon, and will also be released in cinemas across the UK from 10th July 2022, featuring cover art by New York-based comic artist and illustrator Johnny Dombrowski.
Doctor Who & The Daleks will be released on 20th June and Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150 AD on 18th July, both 4K UHD releases accompanied by a 42-page booklet, 32-page “mini-book”, collectable coin, five artcards and two posters.
Both films will also be released in cinemas from 10 July.
There will also be a special screening of both at BFI Southbank on 19th June, including a Q&A with actors Roberta Tovey and Jill Curzon, assistant director Anthony Waye, and Jason Flemyng, son of director Gordon Flemyng.
Tickets go on general sale on 5th May, or 3rd May for BFI members.

An out of this world 4K restoration of Dr. Who & The Daleks (1965), starring British film legend Peter Cushing. This was the first big screen film adaptation of British TV’s most iconic sci-fi hero, and the first time Doctor Who was ever seen in colour.
Having invented the TARDIS, a strange machine capable of travelling into other dimensions, the Doctor and his three young accomplices set forth on a quest through time and space.

He is currently editor of Star Trek Explorer, published by Titan – his third tour of duty on the title originally titled Star Trek Magazine.
Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Babylon 5 Magazine, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”.
He’s the writer of “Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies” for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
