Hibernia Comics has announced another, very limited reprint of two of its sought after collections, The Tower King and The House of Daemon, alongside continuing work on their fantastic The Fleetway Files project.

Both collections are taken from the pages of the 1980s Eagle, and both collections quickly sold out on their first printing – and subsequent reprints have quickly been snapped up, too!
The Tower King, written by Alan Hebden (Meltdown Man, Mind Wars) drawn by Jose Ortiz, (The Thirteenth Floor, Creepy, Eerie) tells the tale of Mick Tempest and his struggles to survive in a London plunged into Medieval anarchy by the complete loss of electricity. It’s an absolutely fantastic adventure tale, crammed with action and adventure, all set in a post-apocalypse London beautifully realised by José Ortiz. Well worth a look.

In The House of Daemon (reviewed here), written by Alan Grant (Batman, Robo-Hunter) and John Wagner (Judge Dredd), drawn by Jose Ortiz, introduced by artist Mike Perkins, Elliot Aldrich had built a dream house… but that dream turned into a nightmare!
Elliot with his wife Cassandra and a few brave companions are trapped in Daemon’s twisted house of terror, a house that Daemon will never let them escape from!

Both these stories are terrific adventures, The Tower King in particular one of the highlights of “New Eagle” when first published. If you missed out on the first printing, then don’t skip the opportunity now. The Hibernia Comics team’s attention to detail and exemplary restoration work to bring these British comic classics back into print is, in my opinion, second to none.
While you’re buying these, don’t forget to check out The Fleetway Files collections of The Indestructible Man, from the short-lived 1960’s comic, JAG, and The Angry Planet, from Tornado, too. Hibernia Comics David McDonald tells us stock of The Angry Planet, in particular, is now very limited.
The Fleetway Files project continues with Captain Condor coming in early 2022.
