2000AD Sci-Fi Special 2026 - Cover by Liam Sharp

Featuring a cover from 2000AD legend Liam Sharp, showcasing Judge Dredd, Judge Death and Strontium Dog in all their glory, inside you’ll find plenty to keep you busy this Summer Season, as The Mighty Tharg presents all-new stories for Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, and Judge Death – alongside a surprise new Thriller featuring the return of the King of Crime, Stickleback!

With creators including Ian Edginton, D’Israeli, T.C. Eglington, Boo Cook, Anthony Williams, Kek-W and more, the 2000AD Sci-Fi Special isn’t just a great set of Extra Thrills for regular readers – it’s a brilliant jump-on for anyone wanting a standalone slice of 2000AD to brighten their July. Plus, Rebellion are bringing this party around the world, as the issue will be available to order internationally through Lunar Distribution – on sale in the United States from 19th August.

Cover artist Liam Sharp should need no introduction to regular downthetubes readers: for 2000AD, his first credit for the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic was back in 1987, in Prog 531, drawing a “Future Shock” written by Alan McKenzie. He was also the co-creator of recurring, pint-sized Judge Dredd villain P.J. Maybe with writers Alan Grant and John Wagner, and has also illustrated “A.B.C. Warriors”, “Finn” and “Tharg’s Future Shocks”. Beyond 2000AD, he’s well known for his own comic creation, Starhenge, and his work on The Brave and the Bold: Batman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman for DC Comics; WildStorm’s The Possessed with Geoff Johns, Death’s Head II, The Incredible Hulk and Man-Thing for Marvel, and much more, including Spawn: The Dark Ages, and Frazetta’s The Death Dealer. Liam has also worked on the critically acclaimed Vertigo series Testament with best-selling author Douglas Rushkoff.
