MCM London attendees will be the first in the world to be able to buy physical copies of the 2024 Dungeon Master’s Guide, as part of ongoing promotion by Wizards of the Coast celebrating 50 years of Dungeons and Dragons (DnD).
The company has a range of events lined up over MCM, taking place this from Friday 25th October, through Sunday, 27th October, at ExCeL London.
If you’re attending this major event, check out the Dungeons & Dragons Zone, located in the North Hall at N1500. “We have so much going on there and beyond,” the company enthuses.
They include the opportunity to learn to DM with guided workshops and panels, to help you launch your own campaign at home.
Limited quantities of the 2024 Dungeon Master’s Guide – under one thousand – will be available for sale over the weekend, sales limited to one per person per day, along with physical copies of the 2024 Player’s Handbook, if you want to purchase that as well.
Comprising 384 pages of new and redesigned content, the 2024 Dungeon Master’s Guide “offers everything a Dungeon Master needs to excite their imagination,” opines Mike Bernier in a guide to the new edition. “You’ll find everything from tips on running your game to the new rules for Bastions and over 400 magical treasures for your players to discover.
“This essential resource walks you through every step of running a campaign and provides real-world advice for your D&D sessions. Perfect for beginners looking to dive in and experienced DMs ready to take their games to the next level.”
Derived from miniature war games, Dungeons and Dragons was originally created and designed by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, and first published in 1974 by Tactical Studies Rules (TSR). It has been published by Wizards of the Coast, later a subsidiary of Hasbro, since 1997.
