(with thanks to Marionette at the Tammy Project): Egmont UK are to release a number of postcard sets featuring hundreds of images from their girls comics, Battle and the Thunderbirds TV series on 10th October, presented in special gift boxes.
The release are among the first print products from the Egmont Classic Comics range.
The Girls Comics collection comprises (mostly, but not entirely, covers) from Tammy, Jinty, Misty, Sally and Penny. From gymnastics and school hijinks to spine-tingling mystery and menace, there’s an abundance of classic images in this sturdy gift box, described as a perfect nostalgia gift for all fans of 1970s girls’ comics.
The Battle collection also comprises covers and other images, from Rat Pack and Major Eazy to Johnny Red and Charley’s War – an abundance of classic images in a sturdy gift box.
The Thunderbirds collection comprises postcards from the TV show rather than Egmont’s Thunderbirds comic and the release ties in with the release of a collection of some of the 1990s Thunderbirds comic strips.
Each postcard features a different Thunderbirds TV image, from Tracy Island and the Thunderbird machines to the Hood and Lady Penelope.
