The latest British comics-focused EBay comic from auction house Phil-Comics is up and running, with close to 400 vintage comic listings, with the vast majority starting at 99p with no reserve.
The auction includes the March 1951 first appearance of Dennis the Menace in The Beano (on his 70th birthday week), and bidding is already fierce for this issue of the weekly humour comic , cover dated 17th March 1951 – bids are are already closing in on £300.


Also attracting early bidding are copies of Action Issues 1 and 2, the second more sought than the first – a Hook Jaw transfer – and the first issues of that title’s rival of the day, Bullet, both Issues One and Two also with free gifts.
On offer too are Marvel UK Planet of the Apes comics, early 2000AD, a full set of Judge Dredd Mega Collection, first issues such as DC Thomson’s Buzz, launched back in January 1973, annuals, free gifts and more, including some US comic lots.
