After five years away from our TV screens, fans of Still Game fans can look forward to more high-rise capers from the Osprey Heights gang in a new comic book annual based on the Scottish sitcom.
Meet and greet with Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill at Forbidden Planet Glasgow later this month. They’ll be signing their book, Still Game Book 1 ‘He Who Hingeth Aboot Getteth HeeHaw!‘ and a limited edition giclee signed by Gary Welsh, will also be available to purchase.
The new hardback annual is has been edited by Gordon Tait of Scottish publishers Scunnered Ink, who recruited a team of artists and writers who have worked on the likes of The Beano, The Dandy, Oor Wullie and The Simpsons comic to work on the 178-page book. Work is already underway on a second book.
Welcome Back The Kings O’ Craiglang! Jack and Victor are no ordinary oldies. They’re seniors wi’ sass, pensioners wi’ punch and stars of their very own award-winning show, Still Game. For nine side-splitting seasons the life-long pals have been gie’in the Young Team laldy and showing everyone how to grow old disgracefully. So when a’body else is busy taking comic characters to cinema screens, Jack and Victor continue doing it differently, instead translating their stage and telly box antics to the printed page.
Full of their trademark banter and the Craiglang gang you know and love, book one features six stories for your entertainment and amusement.
Do note, this event is a book signing only, Ford and Greg will be unable to sign any other memorabilia or merchandise.
