If you’re lucky enough to be at Malta Comic Con this weekend, then be sure to pick up copies of comic creator Tim Perkins latest project – The Educators.
Comic fans first look at this exciting project aimed at encouraging learning, The Educators project is intended as perfect for Special Educational Needs pupils.
As we previously reported, each comics contains 28 full colour pages with 4 x 4 page fun-filled comic strips. Each strip has two accompanying worksheets for teachers and parents to work through with their children.
Tim, a regular guest of Malta Comic Con, is giving attendees a “sneak peek” at The Educators, in advance of next year’s official launch date, “a whole year before everyone else,” he reveals, “you lucky people!
“I am so excited to hear what you all think.
“There will be limited supply, due to weight constraints – I do need a change of clothes!”

The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. He is currently editor of Star Trek Explorer, published by Titan – his third tour of duty on the title originally titled Star Trek Magazine.
Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Babylon 5 Magazine, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”.
He’s the writer of “Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies” for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
