Celebrating the launch of his new books BABS, #1 on sale in comic shops from 14th August, and marking the run up to the release of the the latest Battle-ACTION series from Rebellion in October, meet Garth Ennis at Forbidden Planet Interntional Belfast on Saturday 31st August – and grab yourself a rather nice limited edition print, too!
Babs is a six-issue limited series published by US publisher, Ahoy Comics, that sees Garth Ennis and Jacen Burrows, who produced one of the most popular zombie comics around in Crossed back in action together. Now these two creators are tackling the sword and sorcery genre – and if you enjoy comics like Conan and Red Sonja, but crave more dark, irreverent humour, this might be just the book for you!
Babs is a barbarian thief with an itchy metal wardrobe and the world’s worst enchanted sword, Barry. Together, they travel a fantastic landscape of wizards, dragons, demons, castles-and a band of very angry, very white knights.
Babs wasn’t looking for a fight, but she’s never found a bad situation she couldn’t make 100 times worse!
BABS #1 features variant covers by Chris Burnham (Batman Inc.) and Amanda Conner (Harley Quinn).
