Grant Morrison’s new mini-series for DC Entertainment, The Multiversity , is on the cover of the June edition of Diamond Comic Distributors’ monthly PREVIEWS catalogue, on sale in comic shops, hobby stores, and other specialty outlets on 28th May.
June’s PREVIEWS offers over 2000 new items and features comic books, graphic novels, toys, and other pop culture merchandise scheduled to go on sale beginning August 2014.
With a back cover promoting Marvel Comics next big event, Rick Remender’s Axis, features in the bumper catalogue include:
- Kids Comics Month — To help the next generation of comic book readers find reading material, PREVIEWS spotlights some of the best kid-friendly, all-ages comics and graphic novels out there. That could be a welcome feature, given concerns about some of the more adult feature material in many US superhero comics today…
- On The Flip Side — PREVIEWS talks to James Kolchalka, the writer/artist of Johnny Boo, Glorkian Warrior and Dragon Puncher all-ages books published by Top Shelf Productions, about his life, career, and interests.
- Gems of the Month — June’s PREVIEWS Gems of the Month include: Dark Horse Comics’ The Strain: The Night Eternal #1, the first chapter in the conclusion to Guillermo del Toro’s modern vampire epic; DC Entertainment’s Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman #1, a new Wonder Woman anthology comic featuring stories from top creators; IDW Publishing’s Little Nemo: Return to Slumberland #1, a revival of the classic Winsor McKay comic strip character by Oz’s Eric Shanower and Locke & Key‘s Gabriel Rodriguez; Image Comics’ The Fade-Out #1, a new crime comic from Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips set in post-war Hollywood; and Marvel Comics’ Superior Spider-Man #32, the prelude to Spider-Verse and the unexpected return of Doc Ock as Spider-Man.
- Splash — PREVIEWS shines a special spotlight at some of the blockbuster books and products coming this August, including the explosive conclusion to Marvel Comics’ Original Sin; Avatar Press’ God Is Dead: The Book of Acts specials, featuring stories from top writers including Alan Moore; Jules Feiffer’s first original graphic novel, Kill My Mother from Liveright; Funko’s POP! Buffy the Vampire Slayer figures; Square Enix’s Watchmen Play Arts Kai: Rorschach Figure; and many more products.
- PREVIEWS Exclusive Apparel — This month PREVIEWS offers more exclusive apparel that can be found only at your comic shop than ever before! Boba Fett is the best is at what he does on the Star Wars: Collecting Bounty t-shirt. The tenth Doctor is all wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey on the Doctor Who: Stacked Tenth Doctor shirt. There’s a battle brewing on the Walking Dead: Michonne and the Walkers t-shirt. And dreamland awaits on the Adventure Time: Nightosphere t-shirt.
The June edition of PREVIEWS goes on sale at your local comic shop or specialty stores on Wednesday 28th May 2014
